It has been a while since I have posted anything so I thought I would give it a go this morning.
Life has def changed! Dre and I are no longer together which has been a transition for everyone and unfortunately he hasn't made the best choices and is currently residing at the point of the mountain. There are days when we can get along and days when I want to kick him.. when I think of all the shit he put me through I grateful to be out the situation. The relationship didn't end due to lack of love. I wish nothing but the best for Dre and hope the be can recover and once again be the man I used to know.
Kaija is one of the most amazing kids! Her ability to love and forgive is astounding but she is smart because she doesn't forget and set herself up for disappointment. In her short 6 years she has had to experience more than a 6 year old should have to yet she is happy everyday. She is so compassionate for other people. Even the kids at school that aren't nice to anyone. She is not one to be bullied. She holds her own but looks deeper at that person and tries to befriend them.
She played soccer for the first time this year and it was a rough start but then the coach put her in as goalie and she was a BEAST! That girl did not let anything pass her! She was amazing and yes I was the crazy soccer mom that paced the side lines yelling and screaming but anyone that knows me knows that I was raised on a field or court so its in my blood! I can't help it.
Kaija is so smart! She has all 3's (A's) on her report card for the first quarter. She has gotten 100% on all her spelling tests to this point. She is a great reader and learns new words everyday. She is nothing short of amazing.
My big guy Makai is soooooo much like his mama! My cup runneth over when I watch him watch football with me. He LOVES his football and wants to take it everywhere with us. I am so excited for the day when I watch him run out onto the field every Saturday.
He is such a sweetheart. He has this uncanny ability to give me a hug or a kiss at just the right time. He is a total mama's boy but a tough one! I refuse to raise a sissy boy! He loves his sister so much and already has huge protective instincts for his.
As for me I am working away! I have started to work with 5 non profit foundations and love every minute of it. There is so much work to be done in the world and I want help in any way I can. I know that my passion is in non-profit work. That is what I am supposed to dedicate my life to. It does keep me VERY busy and doesn't pay the bills so I continue my day job and teach 2 nights a week and on the rare occasion I can fit in a date or two I do. Dating should be an Olympic sport! I have been talking to someone who is great so we shall see how that goes!
We live a very fulfilling life. We may not live in a big nice house or drive a flashy car but we are very rich and extremely blessed.
