Happy Holidays 2011

Another Christmas has come and gone quickly. I swear every year it comes faster and faster! We had a very different Christmas this year but a great one none the less. My mom was in Idaho visiting her husbands family, Jake was in Wendover and Dan is still away so it left something to be desired BUT I did have my kids and Jeff from the 23rd to the 26th and his girls on Christmas afternoon until Monday evening so that was really nice. I miss  the big Japanese dinner we have always done on Christmas Day. I'm thinking that those days are gone unless I revive them and hopefully when everyone is home I can. It sucked not having my brothers on Christmas but hopefully next year things will be back to normal or something like it....

It was fun having Jeff and his girls come to the family parties. My family LOVES them! Both sides!! Even my grandma likes Jeff!! She has never liked a single man that I have brought to meet her.....ever! She even invited him over without me. WTF?! My mom and dad both really like him and for once they are urging the progression of the relationship instead of trying to eliminate it but Jeff is so different from any other man that I have been with it shouldn't surprise me and NOT just because he is white! I know that's what you're thinking! Ha Ha! He actually cares about me being taken care of and not just me taking care of him. I can't for him to meet Dan! Dan will love him. He calls me every week and asks how my dating life is going and loves the fact that Jeff is now my one and only. He's so funny! He's very protective still. He is a really great big brother.

It was fun to meet Jeff's family too! They were pretty funny. His lil niece grilled me on when I was going to marry Jeff. I told her she needed to take that up with her uncle. Jeff was approached about it too by his cousins. It was pretty funny.  He is pretty amazing that's for sure! I hope I don't scare him away with my craziness but what you see is what you get! LoL He has seen a few different sides of me and is still around lucky for me. I'm thinking he is one.. for reals this time :)

It's Official... I love him!

After dating dums dums, D-bags, liars, losers, cheaters and all the other bad names I can think to call a guy I have finally found the most amazing man...ever! Don't get me wrong I have dated some great guys and most of them I still talk to but this one is different.. and NOT just because he is white! LMAO Yes that is right I am smitten by a white man. If I wasn't the one in the relationship I would think he was made up. Never in my life have I ever been treated so well. He opens the car door for me, helps me cook and clean, plays with the kids, takes me a great dates and pays. Yep thats right he takes care of everything which for me is rare cause I have always been the one to handle things. He has a great job, no criminal record and has never been to jail. Now for most people those three things are a given but for me I tend to find the criminals Ha Ha!
I can't even express how great he is. He is such a blessing! Good things come those who wait and we all know I have waited!

My kids love him and his girls. He has 2 girls. Cheyenne is 17 and Carrissa is 12. They are both very different but great is their own ways. Cheyenne will graduate in the Fall and has applied to The U! WOO HOO!!! She is very smart so she will get in. She is so wise beyond her years. Carrissa is so carefree and fun. She will give Jeff a run for his money! All the kids get along so well. Kaija is excited to have sisters and Cheyenne and Carrissa are excited to have a little sister and brother. Jeff is excited for a boy! I am excited about everything and Makai loves the extra attention he gets LoL

Everything is falling into place wonderfully. I don't know what the future holds but I am going to enjoy every second of this amazing journey!

Yes... I am that girl who is smitten and can't stop talking about a boy!

My 61

It's been a year. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. I miss your random drunk texts, the way you looked at me when you thought I was out of my mind. I miss the way you hugged me and how I felt safe when you were around. I miss knowing that you always had my back through all the dumb shit I got myself into and how if I was having a bad day I knew I could call you and you would always pick up to talk me off the ledge. I hate that in the last days when we planned to go to dinner that I let myself be too busy. I will regret that forever and I can't even remember what the hell I had to do that night.

Miles, I don't know where you are but I know that you are safe and away from the pain that haunted you. I know that you are being taken care of and you better be waiting for my ass in Heaven when I get there! I'm a be pissed if you're not! Hell hath no fury like a woman's wrath! You have been warned my friend so you better be there ready and waiting! Damn it I miss you! You are in Heaven and I still talk to you all the time! I know that you can hear me and that you are still watching over me hoping that I don't do something dumb! Have you figured out your search for Walt Bayless?

I love you Miles. Your always my number 61.

Until we meet again....

Whoa!! Where does the time go?

It has been a while since I have posted anything so I thought I would give it a go this morning.

Life has def changed! Dre and I are no longer together which has been a transition for everyone and unfortunately he hasn't made the best choices and is currently residing at the point of the mountain. There are days when we can get along and days when I want to kick him.. when I think of all the shit he put me through  I grateful to be out the situation. The relationship didn't end due to lack of love.  I wish nothing but the best for Dre and hope the be can recover and once again be the man I used to know.

Kaija is one of the most amazing kids! Her ability to love and forgive is astounding but she is smart because she doesn't forget and set herself up for disappointment. In her short 6 years she has had to experience more than a 6 year old should have to yet she is happy everyday. She is so compassionate for other people. Even the kids at school that aren't nice to anyone. She is not one to be bullied. She holds her own but looks deeper at that person and tries to befriend them.

She played soccer for the first time this year and it was a rough start but then the coach put her in as goalie and she was a BEAST! That girl did not let anything pass her! She was amazing and yes I was the crazy soccer mom that paced the side lines yelling and screaming but anyone that knows me knows that I was raised on a field or court so its in my blood! I can't help it.

Kaija is so smart! She has all 3's (A's) on her report card for the first quarter. She has gotten 100% on all her spelling tests to this point. She is a great reader and learns new words everyday. She is nothing short of amazing.

My big guy Makai is soooooo much like his mama! My cup runneth over when I watch him watch football with me. He LOVES his football and wants to take it everywhere with us. I am so excited for the day when I watch him run out onto the field every Saturday.

He is such a sweetheart. He has this uncanny ability to give me a hug or a kiss at just the right time. He is a total mama's boy but a tough one! I refuse to raise a sissy boy! He loves his sister so much and already has huge protective instincts for his.

As for me I am working away! I have started to work with 5 non profit foundations and love every minute of it. There is so much work to be done in the world and I want help in any way I can. I know that my passion is in non-profit work. That is what I am supposed to dedicate my life to. It does keep me VERY busy and doesn't pay the bills so I continue my day job and teach 2 nights a week and on the rare occasion I can fit in a date or two I do. Dating should be an Olympic sport! I have been talking to someone who is great so we shall see how that goes!

We live a very fulfilling life. We may not live in a big nice house or drive a flashy car but we are very rich and extremely blessed.
